Hi there! I’m Dawn Gregg, wife to Bradley, mother to Bria, Mcabe, Galilee,
Jemima, and Zion. I keep busy mostly by home educating the clan and writing.
I’m a USC Film School graduate with a degree in screenwriting. I’d
like to see some of my work realized on film, especially “Lifetime Achievement”,
and “Green Pastures”...both character driven stories of forgiveness
and reconciliation. Currently, I’m assisting Bradley on Cedars of Lebanon,
his feature directorial debut. We work as a team...many times you’ll catch
us discussing casting choices, locations, wardrobe, dialogue, music etc. It’s
a blessing that we both share a love of character...understand stories visually
and have similar creative backgrounds, sensibilities and dreams.
Lately, I have a passion for writing children’s books. I spend quite
a bit of time, speaking with families who are traveling down the adoption road.
Not that I’m an expert by any means, but my life experience has inspired
a handful of stories celebrating adoption. “Journey to Jemima”, our
documentary... has provided many opportunities to share our own international
adoption story. Producing the film was a beautiful experience...one which I’ll
be forever grateful for.
In my spare time, I like to read and see movies. Growing up on a film set
was wonderful for me. I was blessed with a hands on education in story telling
which I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Character, plot, camera angles...this
is how I see the world around me.
Lifetime Achievement tells the story of Samuel Guthrie, a big time
Hollywood movie producer who returns home to spend his last days in Red Hook,
Brooklyn. Surrounded by the dysfunctional family he’s neglected over the
years, he comes to terms with sin, makes peace and alters his legacy.
Green Pastures tells the story of a couple on the verge of divorce
after seven children and twenty five years of marriage. Estranged, they travel
to Ireland on a surprise anniversary vacation, meant to be the honeymoon they
never had... and while there....learn the meaning of true love.
Grow Where You Are Planted / Work-in-progress Book Project A tapestry of images
and thoughts woven over a ten year period of time.
